Privacy & data use
What Dendro stores, what it doesn't, and how incognito works.
The short version
Dendro is a private tool for the people who use it — your data is yours. We store conversations and the things you log so the app can be useful across sessions. We don't sell your data. We don't train external models on it.
When you want a single conversation to leave no trace, use incognito mode.
What incognito guarantees
When the URL is ?incognito and the overlay is open, the conversation:
- Is never written to the database. No conversation row, no message rows.
- Doesn't appear in Recents or in command-palette search.
- Doesn't feed your profile memory or any personalisation signal.
- Can't be exported or shared — there's no record to point at.
- Disappears the moment you close the overlay or reload. There is no "recover" button.
The chat still goes to the model so you get a real answer — we just don't keep a copy on our side.
What we store (when you're not in incognito)
- Conversations you have with Dendro (so we can give you context-aware answers next time).
- Data you ask Dendro to log on your behalf — sleep, mood, breathwork, goals, profile facts.
- Connected integrations you've explicitly authorised (e.g. wearables, Shopify, Klaviyo).
- Basic account info (email, display name) and which tier(s) you have access to.
What we don't track
- Anything you type during an incognito chat. The conversation is streamed once and then dropped.
- Browsing patterns outside the app — we don't run a third-party analytics pixel.
- Health data we don't have a tool for. If we don't ask for it, we're not collecting it.
Personalisation & feedback
Outside of incognito, Dendro uses your past conversations to tailor future answers — recalling preferences you've mentioned, the goals you've set, and so on. Thumbs-up / thumbs-down on a reply helps us improve the assistant's behaviour for you.
We do not send this data to outside model providers for training. Your conversation content is sent to the model only to generate a reply, and the model provider is contractually bound not to train on it.
Third-party integrations
When you connect a third-party service (wearable, WhatsApp, Shopify store, etc.) you authorise Dendro to read data from that service on your behalf. Each connected service has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles your data independently of Dendro. We only request the minimum scopes needed to provide the feature you enabled.
